Las Vegas couple renews vows after 75 years of marriage

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — July 9, marks the 75th wedding anniversary of two Las Vegas lovebirds, turning the heads of couples young and old.

The milestone makes them the longest married couple in Nevada.

93-year-old Gail and Donna Andress met in high school. Gail asked Donna if she would date his friend; she replied “No, but I would date you.”

They then married in 1944.

They stayed together through Gail fighting in World War II, seeing each other when they could.

A room full of friends and family attended a renewal ceremony, leaving some to wonder how they stayed together so long.

“It’s just automatic, I don’t think about it,” said Donna. “He’s just there and he’s nice and good and he listens to me when I talk and I listen to him.”

Decades later, the two are still immensely in love, with unwavering support from their friends and family.
